Last night, we experienced a bot spamming our chat with inappropriate messages. In order to resolve this, I had to disconnect everyone from chat. While chat has been enabled again, you might be experiencing issues with it. If you are unable to send messages, it will help to log out, close the game, open it back up, and sign in. This should resolve any issues. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi players, we ran into some technical issues when running the consensus algorith on some of the neurons that were posted. As such we have temporarily removed them while we work on the bugs. Human-TC-14 and Mouse-V1-56 are being examined right now for problems. Any work you contributed is still saved and once we resolve the issue they will be re-opened and properly scored.

Apologies for the issues.

Hi players, we want to highlight features in the application to help you create higher quality reconstructions that are more useful for our partners at the AIBS.

If you open the settings menu in the top right corner you can see an option to toggle ‘Disconnected Mode’. When turned on the reconstruction will turn pastel pink and blue. The pink indicates that a branch is not directly connected to the soma area (this is like the root body of the neuron).

By using the Connect-the-Dots tool, you can connect fragments by clicking on an existing node to start and end. You may need to zoom in closer to see some of the gaps and fragments along a line. Do your best to try to connect them to turn as much of the reconstruction blue and earn easy additional points!

Finally, Mouse-V1-51 and Mouse-V1-52 will be closing on Tuesday and Thursday respectively at around 5pm. Mouse-V1-57 has just been opened.

Hi players, we made some bug fixes for the feature to use the Connect-the-Dots tracing tool to end a trace on an existing node. This again will allow you to repair fragments or disconnected parts of the neuron traces. A fully connected structure is most useful for the scientists so fixing these gaps with this tool is an important task. View details on this page.

You can disable the feature to end at an existing node by toggling the ‘Snap to Node’ option in the menu.

Also included is a bug fix for the auto-z tool to address the node placement jumping around too much along the xy plane.

Full change log at the bottom on this page.
